The Lonely Kitten

Adorable!

Last night while washing dishes I happened to look out the window at the right time or wrong time, depending on who's telling the story. I couldn't believe my eyes, there was a little tiny kitten out front all by itself! I ran to the door as I yelled for my daughter (who of course didn't hear me) and just as I opened the door the adorable little thing started to run. Being so young and inexperienced it was unable to make it under the deck before I was able to grab it. As I pet the baby I noticed that it was not just any kitten but a beautiful Siamese with bright blue eyes, my favorite! I couldn't wait to show my daughter, Madison but at the same time had to hide it from my other half. The look on Madison's face was priceless! First thing out of her mouth, can we keep it? I am still completely unsure whether or not this adorable little kitten is going to be the newest member of our house because the "boss" hasn't given the okay yet. To make matters a bit more difficult, we have four pitbulls that may or may not like the new addition. Needless to say I am taking things one day at a time; however, I would love to keep this sweet little thing.

Has your son Jaeden named the kitten yet. My daughter said if the kitten is a girl she will name it Princess.

I do not know. I have not seen any other kittens roaming around. I am glad I found it though :)

So beautiful I have Siamese cats at home. They're local breed. My queen cat knew how to pick his man Cat and dog might not get along. But there's some cases where they do. If the 'boss' is okay, do consider. The kitten needs a loving home.

In a perfect world the dogs and the cat would become best friends! I hope they at least tolerate each other.

Such a sweet little thing. Have your pitties ever been around cats before? I know that German Shepherds have been known to adapt to kittens but I'm not so sure about pitties, they have a different kind of hunt instinct and might just view this sweet little tyke as a rodent.

That sounds smart @mferreira I always overprotect my furbabies when introductions are started which might not be the best way to get them to interact sociably

The two older puppies have not but the two adults have been around an older, bigger cat. I plan to introduce VERY slowly.

She may not like pitbulls for company.

maybe you can take it to the vet or a shelter to check if someone reported a missing siamese kitten?

I was thinking I should post on the local social media. To be honest I am worried someone will answer and claim her. I know it is the right thing to do though.

Oh what a beautiful kitten it is. Did someone leave it at your house on purpose.

No, I don't believe so. It is ironic that the kitten is my favorite breed of cat though. I am new to the area so no one would have known that and my other half does not like cats so he wouldn't have left it for me.

Aren't you going to check if someone in the neighbourhood misses it? After all, a Siamese cat is expensive.

The kitten must be very newly born. How can you resist that face?

I can't, that's the problem. Well not for me but for my other half who is not excited at all about the new addition.

The kitten is adorable. Not everyone likes animals and wants them in their homes and i believe maybe the bitbulls will not like the new additional either. Please let us know how it works out.
