We all know that less exercises is harmful for the health. But in fact too much exercises is also not good for the health. I realized it when I occasionally saw an interview of an Olympics athlete. He is strong and has muscles. He does exercises a lot everyday. And he looks fit. However, later I learned that he is a diabetics and he also has other health problems. It doesn't really make a sense that he is such kind of patient. This is why I think perhaps we should not take a lot of exercises. The suitable exercises is much more important.

Diabetes is partly due to the intake of carbohydrates, and sugar. He has to cut down on such food, but then his body needs the energy for sports. There are studies that show that when a person cuts down on carbohydrate, the diabetes is put under control without the help of medication.

In fact today the real reason for diabetes hasn't found out yet. And perhaps this is why there is no cure yet.

@youless Actually the reason is known but the cure is not. Insulin is something that the body produces when we take in carbohydrates. The problem is that the insulin production can go haywire. When body produces too much insulin or too little insulin, it hurts all the other organs in the body.

Unless someone is in competitions, I do not feel it necessary to overdo exercise. Some do overdo it indeed Youless, I agree.

In the past we had a wrong concept. We tended to think that more exercises meant healthier.

Anything in excess can be bad for you even if the said thing is good for you. So it is really important to realize your limitation.

I remember mom telling me about grandpa, he would always tell her that moderation is the key to good health. He liked to walk and called that his exercise which makes sense. I am assuming by "suitable exercises" you also meant moderate, am I correct?

Practicing exercise is excellent, but in excess this is highly dangerous to health. In bodybuilding, for example, you have certain exercise programs that you need to rest more than 24 hours for a certain muscle so that it can be stimulated again for hypertrophy to happen.

This is why athletes are not as healthy they are supposed to be.
