Remembering My Mother

She was an epitome of motherhood
In countless unique ways
Always frank and fair-minded
She lived her life to the full.
She worked diligently
To her work was worship
Always remaining true to her principles
She believed in the power of good deeds
Her belief in God was unshakable
Devoid of all outward manifestations
Never once faltering
No matter how weak and fragile she grew!
This was the mother I knew and loved dearly
My mother whom I watched and emulated
Her memory forever etched
In the deep recesses of my aching heart

Now, Gabby, I don't remember you writing poems much on bubblews, but maybe I've forgotten.
This is a sweet ode to your dear mom. How long ago did she leave this world and your heart?

@MarshaMusselman You are right dear. But at times, it just happens naturally although I'm certainly not a poet.
My mother passed away a decade ago just 23 days after my dad departed. But her memory is deeply etched in my heart.Thank you for asking.
