People Changing There Names on myLot

So recently i have noticed Keisha @sissy15 and April @thislittlepennyearns both have changed there names on here, I am not sure on if they did this for a specific reason or not, but for me it can be very confusing as i will see a response or a new discussion and forget it is someone i already know.
Does anyone else get confused when myLotters change there names on here? or do you often see there actual name on myLot and there username and get confused?
Or am i just crazy? it was just funny because both it took me a few hours to figure out who they we're they both do not use profile picture so it makes it even more confusing lol....

I have never thought of changing my name here because it may cause confusion to my friends here.

@chrissbergstrom I had noticed a mylotter use the username of a member in LB here. I had responded to her discussion but if she is from LB. But to no avail.

Ha, yeah I meant to do this before and it didn't take so I went back through and redid it. I actually did it because I am trying to make it more difficult for my family to find me, especially with all of my posts about my brother lately. I use this as a way to vent. I used to have a picture too but I got rid of it for the same reason. I have gotten confused when other people did it but I eventually figure it out. All I did was change it to my tag name but I can see how it could get confusing, I kind of wondered if people would get confused, guess that answered my question lol. But yeah, I did it to put just a bit more space between me and my family.

Now that i know it's great and i will get used to it, i totally understand privacy concerns i know i should probably be more private in some i share but i don't care as much anymore lol I am just happy you are on here, i have enjoyed are chats! at first i thought maybe you left myLot as i was scrolling down my followers and didnt see you're name then i went back to posts i knew you commented and saw name change lol

@chrissbergstrom It happens, but nope definitely didn't leave. I mean I know I talked about taking some time away but I haven't as I ended up needing this more as a place to vent but even if I took a break I wouldn't have deleted my account. Thanks, I've enjoyed them too. I had originally changed it around the same time I changed my picture but for whatever reason, it didn't take that time. Some people are ok with not having that level of privacy and I figure to each their own. For me, it's more about wanting my thoughts to not get back to my family. Sometimes they can be judgmental and I really don't want them knowing about this place. I am just too easy to find. If I used my last name my family would have no trouble finding me as I'm the only one with that name, at least online. I just rather not take chances. The only way I'd leave is if everyone else did as then there would be no point, that's what I did last time but even then I didn't delete my account.

I do get confused. And having severe depression I don't need any more confusion than I already have. The former did post and let us know what was going on. Sometimes if these people aren't real active I get real confused.

Yes I get confused - same with icons =)
It took a little for people to get used to my new profile and name I believe because I was asked it.

Profile pictures changing are to be expected i have changed mine and i have not been here to long, but changing names makes it even more difficult.

@chrissbergstrom Yes but your username is easy to be familiar with as well as your name. It is self explanatory. 
But for profile pictures, I always keep the same for all my earning platforms to make it easy for people to know me.

See i am the opposite i know you as youless and would not recognize the picture of the little boy in you're avatar over the other pictures of little boys in avatars so if you changed you're name i would not know who you were

i did this a while back. just to confuse a person i had invited to mylot, only to have them attack me later about what i wrote here which stupidly i had written something about them without thinking. i have learned my lesson well as i don;t know if they left or not. having blocked them etc. not sure if they still read my posts or what. but don't care as long as i don't have to suffer their wrath.

I do get confused at times too, but once I start responding or commenting back, it is then I realize that I am already friends with them. I have changed mine too, although, I put m real name at the top as my username is still the same one I had when I signed up here. Of course, I have changed my profile picture a few times as well, and think I only confused people once when I put my real name in my profile, as they were used to my username, which has always been the same. I just prefer, using my real name, as it is less confusing that way at least for me anyway.

@chrissbergstrom My username is one that my daughter gave me a long time ago, and it has stuck with me. She knows I like roses, so the username is ideal. It is the same username for all the sites that I do. It is just easier to keep the same one and not change all the time.

I've considered changing my name for the same reason @sissy15 did. I don't like knowing that people can easily find me online, especially if I post anything personal.

Yes I do understand @sissy15 reasons and I guess I have lived so much of my life in the open I just don't worry about people reading what I post anymore but there is some stuff I just won't talk about on mylot

@chrissbergstrom i usually just go to anyone that post on my posts to see if they have something i can comment on. or if i run out of that then i go to recent posts. so really not too concerned when they change names etc.

I guess it doesn't really matter to me. I only follow relevant interesting issues of people I trust would write them. I don't think they've changed their names. :-

I was thinking the very same thing today. Not because I noticed that someone changed his or her name, but because I thought if it is permitted to do this, people would be confused. The reason I thought about it was because there are some things on here I would like to share, but I also remember that people on the Internet can read our conversations. It would be easy for them to figure out that this is me.

Yes i write alot of genealogy and i know my posts about ancestors probably come up, but i really don't mind that so much as i like distant family to get in touch with me.
