Do you believe in Premonitions or do you think it is all just coincidental

I remember walking home from school one day and suddenly being struck with an over whelming feeling that something was very wrong ,when I arrived home I found my grandmother, who was on her own ,laying on the floor in pain ,she had fractured the neck of her femur and just a few weeks later we lost her. Another time I was at work when I just felt that something had happened to my daughter, I phoned home and found out although she had not told her dad she had hurt/broken her hand.. However on other occasions I have also thought something felt wrong and it turned out to be no more than my over active imagination. Have you had anything like this happened? Do you believe in premonitions or do you think we just read too much into these situations and it is all just coincidental.

Happened to me a few times now. Not fun in my case since I always felt 'it' a week or two before thing really happened. More suffering this way.

The few times I have experienced it ,there has been just a in that moment feeling,,It must be much harder having a build up to events.

I'm not sure what I believe although I do believe some people have premonitions. But once you've had one or two it would be easy to read more into other occasions.

@shebish I think so too and there is no doubt that some experience these things. Others 'see' things. It's like separate gifts are given to different individuals.

@JudyEv It is like that deaf blind boy that plays the piano so beautifully it should not be possible, but he does it.

I like to keep open minded about these things and I think there is a lot science still has to learn about the brain a.

I think a lot of people can but they do not always trust their inner voice.

I seem to always get a premonition when something bad is going to happen at work. I'll wake up in the morning with a feeling of dread, and then I know something is going to go wrong at work. And most times I am right. It's really weird to have a feeling like that and then it ends up being true.

@shebish But the weird thing is, it only happens for work situations. I don't usually have any premonitions for things happening in my off-work time.

It is a strange feeling having the absolute certainty that something has or will happen, You seem to have a natural psychic ability.

I agree these things are sometimes easy to label as premonitions when they have not been., But I also believe we all have a inner voice

I believe we do have premonitions at times! I've never had ones like that though! Most of mine have been dreams that have meant nothing at the time. Afew week or so later I'll find myself in the situation and realise that I had dreamt it beforehand! It's never anything hugely exciting though and there's nothing I could have done to change any of it. Sadly no lottery numbers either

@shebish Knowing my luck I'd put them on for the wrong day

@Essjayd Imagine just forgetting to put them on and then seeing the numbers you had dreamed about were right ?

I have never had anything in my dreams that I could link to a premonition and even if I dreamed of the winning lottery numbers I would probably forget one of them and still not win the jackpot

I would say that there are many things for which there is no logical explanations but they happen
