If you are caught in a heavy, terribly frustrating traffic, what are the best ways to make your time productive?

Traffic is one of the worst issue here in Manila especially during rush hours. Others can spend traffic in private vehicles or own cars, but there are other people who are spending too much time in lining up to ride the train, ride the bus, and when in public vehicles not all people are seating some are standing long time in a traffic. What do you usually do when there is traffic? I know most of us are literally just quiet but deep inside we are becoming impatient, frowning, feeling tired and feeling waste of time.
