Getting into an Argument

We cannot get away from argument. We are always facing this daily whether with our partner, friend, boss, colleagues and even with children. Have you ever been involved in an argument that turned out violently? Good thing that I have not experienced this violent argument. As much as possible I do not start an argument which I know from the start would end up badly. I shun away from controversial issues like topics on religion, race or anything that I believe quite sensitive to other people. When dealing with other people, I make sure that I know the persons I am having an argument with. If he is the type of a defensive one, I just don’t pursue the topic. I can wait till things are in good favor. Sometimes when being caught with argumentative people, I try to keep quiet and would try to stop the conversation or simply walk away. I choose my own battle. I know how it feels to be offended so I don’t mean to offend anyone. When I know I am right, I would always fight for it though it will put me in some bad light. My friends know me as a very vocal person. I speak my mind but I am always trying to be as sensitive to others feelings. Sometimes it does not matter whether you win or lose in an argument as long as you made your stand.

I try to avoid arguments as far as possible. I find it quite stressing for me to get into all this but well it happens at time. Then I try my best not to get excited and to deal calmly with the issue

It happened many times. We even stopped to talk with each other and others making mediation. Such things do happen. They remain as sweet memories in our lives.

No I am not someone who tends to get into arguments if there is a problem I try to sort it out peacefully, I would stand my ground if I needed to but I see no point in prolonging a disagreement for drama`s sake, I say what is needed to be said ,clear the air and move forward.

@cherigucchi It is better than a pointless argument any day of the week.
