My Kitchen Is Smelling Great!

I put a beef roast in the crock pot this morning before I headed out the door. I needed to pick up some sewing machine oil and needles in preparation to teaching my daughter how to sew.
I headed in one direction, firmly believing I knew where Jo-Ann Fabrics was, even though I haven't been there in a few years. It moved. Wal-Mart was close by, so I headed over there. They have a fabric craft department, no oil, but the gal was able to tell me where to find Jo-Ann Fabrics, so out the door and on my way again.
I decided to take the highway as the fastest route and got there in record time. The lady was very helpful, and said she has the same series machine I have. So I have what I need. Went a couple doors down to the Christian Bookstore and inquired if they have local author book signings. They do. I'll get back to them soon.
When I walked in the house, my kitchen was taking on a decided fragrant aroma, and now my mouth is starting to water even more. I'm making pulled beef for dinner/supper. It will be perfect for a stay inside day, as the temps are still on the cool side outside and it's supposed to start raining again soon.
That's what's going on my table today. Have you decided what's for dinner yet or have you already had your dinner?
Thanks for reading.

I'm not sure what brand it is, but the clerk told me it would work for my machine, and she has the same series machine, so I think I can trust her.

It's just about ready. I've been shredding it for the past hour when I check on it.

We had pork steaks for dinner. Very tasty with stringed beans and potatoes. Your roast sounds yummy. We will have one in the fall and be very ready for it.

The Husband was golfing and I went with friends to another friends home for an afternoon party because of the race yesterday - Preakness Stakes. We all bring food and every thing was delicious. I always used Jo-Ann Fabrics when i lived in the states, and just last week we were in the states and stopped at Walmart, while looking for something else I found the sewing section and was impressed how much that has grown.

I'm glad Wal-Mart brought back their sewing section. They had taken it out for quite a while. It's not huge here, but it is something. Sounds like you had a great day yesterday. Now that I've missed two legs of the triple crown, I wonder if I'll miss the third too. I think I've only seen all three races once.

@PainsOnSlate I went to YouTube to watch them yesterday and see who the winners were. Too bad the Derby winner didn't win the second leg of the crown.

My kitchen smells great, too! I'm marinating a rack of lamb in garlic, rosemary, and a bit of virgin olive oil. I planned on making it as a surprise dinner for my husband, but am too beat from planting flowers outside all day. Ordering pizza. He has that dinner to look forward to tomorrow.
