The couples who has been married for at least 50 years, get rewarded with "Medal for long Marital Life" by their country, Poland. The country honor them because of their long marital life achievement. I think this is a very good process to encourage couples to learn to accept each other and make a successful marital life. What do you think of this?

By rewarding long term marriages, it also means that divorce rates are being controlled in the country which avoids unnecessary litigation costs and stress. But there are also marriages whereby one of the parties are not happy but yet they sacrifice their entire lifetime, just to please their families and to live up to the societal's expectations. Just imagine, if these couples receive awards after 50 years. Does it really make sense?

@barnathegr8 Read my response again dear friend. I said "but there are also marriages" which mean that there are also cases of forced marriages that exist and imagine they make it for so many years, by sacrificing and surrendering, and get awarded. Think.

The couples are not forced to go through long term marriages but they are encouraged by country to make a long & successful marital life. Now it's their choice if they are agree or not.
