My response to the Sudden Death Poetry challenge by Jecka ( @Jessicalynnt ) : In which we were to use the five words:
rabbit, hole, dream, eat, late
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
There, in a hole
Lived not a mole,
but a rabbit.
The rabbit stayed up late,
Regardless of the date,
and slept in late quite a bit.
There he would dream
Of a carrot-picking machine
as being lazy was his habit.
In his dreams he would eat
His favorite orange treat
but because of his laziness -- he would not have it.
