What's Up With Me?

"The Bachelorette" will be back starting this Monday in its 13 season. A Texas attorney named Rachel Lindsey, will be the new bachelorette and 31 men will try for her attentions. I think I might watch it this time. Last time I didn't. My grandson, Josh, made it out to catch the bus four days in a row. I am so relieved and proud. I thought Cami needed a pat on the back too. She works hard getting to get up and do all he needs to and then get out to the bus in the mornings. There was this great Homeless story on the news Friday evening. This woman saw a homeless man several times driving home each day. She would just look the other way to begin with. Then one day she stopped and gave him some money. He stayed in her thoughts and another day she stopped and asked him why he was out here. He told her his story. Of how his mother had just up and deserted him one day. He had had trouble getting help on his own and had made his home out on the streets. She went home and told her husband she wanted to help this man. What would he think of letting the man stay in there home that night? She really wanted to help him. Her husband felt he couldn't refuse. So the homeless came home to stay with them that night and continued to stay many nights to come. He became a part of their family. They helped get help from services in the community and also got him doctor's appointments. He now has two part time jobs and is a happy part of their family. This story makes me think about all those people who wonder why homeless people they see can't do something to help themselves. They all have their individual stories. Many have mental issues, or have tried to get help but do not have the skills to help themselves. Enjoying nice warm weather here. Hope you are too.
