All practicing Buddhists will learn meditation. That is part of the religious routine. However, in Buddhism meditation, there are various types of meditation. Not all will lead to a person gaining insight of the future. When I chance on the article about Accurately Predict Your Future using a 10-Minute Buddhist Meditation Technique. I naturally am quite keen to learn about it. After reading through, I realize that I really do not want to know the future. Since the ultimate goal of such meditation is to bring us to come to term about our death. That is the reason that many prominent monks can predict their death down to the exact hour, and the exact manner of death.
Accurately Predict Your Future using a 10-Minute Buddhist Meditation Technique Regular readers of our blog will know that we advocate a very down-to-earth approach to Buddhist practice and are not …

We all don't want to know the bad news. If we can predict some good news, perhaps we will accept to it easily

@scheng1 Did you watch the movie Arrival? In fact this movie made me have a deep thought. The female scientist knows that her marriage would be broken and her daughter would die because of a disease. Even though, she didn't try to do anything to prevent or change it. I can't really understand it. Perhaps she still needs the experience and it is a part of her life. There is sadness and of course happiness, too.

@youless If I were her, I would not want to get married and have children. Having said that, it is possible to change the outcome based on Buddhism teaching. A top monk in Asia, ????, has very bad Bazi, destined to die young and die poor, plus he was a hunter, and he killed a lot of animals. A monk taught him about Buddhism, and ???? followed instruction obediently. As a result, he is still alive and he gets to travel to many places, meet a lot of people, and help a lot of people.

Actually it is the bad news that is of use to us. If we know that we will have major illness in the future, we can change our diet now, or to buy more health insurance to cope with the cost.

There is a sacred chant MANI MEKALAYI NAMAH..This sacred chant will automatically drive you towards divinity. It can also be used to kill your enemies just by changing the level of chant.

Wow, that is more scary. If I am angry at someone when I start to chant this, that person will have bad things happen to him or her. In the end, I will have to bear the bad karma.

It takes a lot of courage to face the inevitable. If I have such courage, I will be a person without fear.

Mmmm, it depends on if you meditate on it like what the article suggests. If you'd rather meditate on other things then maybe it's better for you. Just clear and relax your mind. Am not an expert on it yet but there are a lot of different ways to meditate, you just have to find the one that resonates more with you. I'm still looking for it.

Predicting the future. Pure silliness.
