Does anyone know what flour you can make these Chinese delicacies from. I looked up on Google, but they say you have to buy egg wrappers, to make them. My Mum and Dad used to take us out to a Chinese restaurant and we were served these sweet bow ties with their aromatic tea, after our meal. Never forgot these sweet little treats.

I see Deborah has suggested cake flour so I hope that works for you.

They are also dipped in a sweet honey type sauce that gives them the sweet taste.

Another thing I want to know. That sweet fragrant tea they serve at the end of a Chinese meal, what is its name? Have tried many teas that I thought were the one that I was looking for..but alas!

We call it 'gateau cravate' over here. I see that you already got the recipe. Are you going to try it soon.

That sounds a very cordon bleu name! Yes,will try and see if it comes out the same as when I tasted it as a child. Sure there are many variations of Bow Ties, too!

@dianadee Yes I never seen them here before, but anything deep fried + pastry, honey coating sounds delicious & tasty.

They are deep fried sweet pastry type of little biscuit with a honey coating. Still have to make some.

I never tried them, but it's not hard to make eggs wrappers from scratch. You can find several recipes online.
