The Train Wreck

A couple nights ago we passed a scene on one of the main roads through Alabama, As we were leaving Pell city there was something going on, because there were so many police, firetrucks and haz-mat set up. We drove slowly passed to see but it was dark and the flashing lights killed our eyes. Later on the local news we seen that it was a train wreck, usually this area gets trains hitting cars, they did have a section evacuated till they found out what was on the train but it was just a train wrecked, derailed. This photo is what I took today, I could not even get the whole wreck in one photo, this shows the end of it, one car was filled with new lumber that much I could see.

@andriaperry It's hard to believe no one was seriously hurt in a wreck like that.

I wonder what caused the derailment. Vince's family worked on the railway. A derailment in those days must have been extremely difficult to clear.

I dread when I see a bunch of police cars. The sight of flashing lights becomes so ominous. Whatever happened, you know you'll probably hear it on the news.
