For those of you that have pets what do you think they do when they are home alone?

Our cat is put out every night and when we go out. He has a bed in the garage and a little door to come and go. I always wonder what he does.
As soon as I get up or come home I look for him. Sometimes he is curled up in his little bed. Sometimes he is at the back door howling to come in.
One morning I looked into the garage and a Different cat was curled up in my cat's bed. I wonder where my cat slept!

@Hannihar I have thought about this a lot. I can only assume sleep lol
HAHA! It would be amazing if our pets could pitch in on the house chores though!

Yes, it would be nice if they could be taught to help.

Can you share some of the stories with us? I always wonder what my animals have done while I was away.

How can you leave pets alone? Here we keep them under the care and custody of our neighbor or any other person.

People have to go out and do things. I don't leave my pets for days. I have to go out during the day at times. On our holidays and our Sabbath I am home. I would never abandon my Sophie. She has been through too much. If I were invited far away I will say I cannot come because I will not leave Sophie alone.

I think they enjoy the freedom of left untied. If tied than they have nothing to do.

Essyjayd,
That is cool that you can bring yours with you. I cannot. Sophie would get scared and run away and I cannot carry her in her cage. I am home alot so I am here for her. In the beginning when I had my dog she hated being left and would cry until the cat came along.

@Hannihar Sadly my new
job will be impossible to take
him with me. Thankfully I will
still be able to pop into the house
to see him throughout the day.
I think plenty of dogs enjoy having
the house to themselves for a while.
Mine is just too used to being with
me all the time!
