The other half and I are watching Wrestlemania 29 from 2013, and they were talking about how Vince McMahon had a hip replacement right before this. I made a joke about how his new hip was probably solid gold, to which he laughed and said probably.
And then I added that actually it probably wasn't because gold is very maluable and wouldn't make a very good hip because of that.
It just made me laugh and I thought I would share.

My grandfather had one of the first artificial hips that were ever used. It was made from the same alloy as Concorde. It was put in as a 'five year' hip when he was in his fifties and he was still using it in his 80s.
