Discovered I don't like Dates

A local supermarket has a weekly free item that you sign up for online. Recently it was a Larabar and one of the choices was the cherry pie. I got that one since I have a fondness for cherries. But when I started eating it, I really didn't like it. With great effort I finally found the small print listing the ingredients and dates was number one on the list. They should have named it date something.

I have never liked dates. When I was a kid, my parents went to a date festival and got me a date shake. Yuck.

How can they say it is cherry but it is actually dates..that is not right.
I too would not like dates, but I love cherry. Perhaps why it is free.

I like dates in a bread. I'm not sure I've eaten them any other way.

The dates from Saudi are very famous and are known for their nutritious value. They improve the blood in the body and purify it. They also cause cooling effect during summer.
