Feeling Better So Life is Good Again!

It's nice to get back some of the strength in my left hip and leg and actually start walking with a cane as well as the walker. It was a long road so far and I'm so glad it's nearing the end. But with a hip replacement you need to be cautious for 3 full months. I'm certainly not ready for dancing yet, but feel much stronger. And I'm only taking one pain med at night when my leg gets sore and stiff when I sleep. Weaning myself down was easier than I thought- but I could be getting headaches and nerve jumping from the withdrawal. i'm sure it will all get better- and now I'm looking forward to being able to drive again in a few weeks. Getting a little antsy now that Spring is here. And so happy I can cook meals again. My husband 's cooking was giving me heartburn---ha! He's glad to be almost relieved of the cook's position he found himself in. And that makes two of us--

I'm glad you're doing so much better and there is a light at the end of the tunnel now. Good to know your husband will be relieved of kitchen duties soon.

I can imagine how pleased your husband will be to be able to hand back the job of chef. And it's good news that you're feeling stronger.

Yes, so happy to be able to buy some fruits and salad stuff- he couldn't make anything too "fancy" like soups, salads etc.
