Lots of Things Happening Today

It’s been raining almost all day. It's after midnight now. Still raining. There was a break and I took advantage of it and went to the Post Office to mail four postcards and guess what I found in my mail box? There were EIGHT postcards for me. They were from the Netherlands, Novomoskovsk Russia, Taiwan, Canton China, Jodpur India, Mackinac Island Michigan, Hong Kong, and Tver Russia. Now, I have received just over 50 cards, since I joined Postcrossings.com. I really was surprised to see that many post cards in my box. The post cards were nice, but the stamps were really nice. My grandson was collecting stamps, so I can share these with him too. Then, I went to the Dollar Tree and I found some 3-D post cards. They were a dollar each but really interesting for sure. I don’t know whether to keep them for myself or send them out to someone else. I ended up spending $22 at the Dollar Tree, but I got a few things that I really needed, and the post cards. I also stopped at the grocery store and picked up some more fruit for the week. I have lost six more pounds. I’m very happy that I can really see a big difference in how my clothes fit. I’ve lost 50 pounds from my highest weight this past year. Next month, my granddaughter is having a Yard Sale and I have lots of things I’m hoping to sell. What I don’t sell, I’m going to give to my friend, Mike, who takes things to the Flea Market. I’m still cleaning out my office. And now I’m really starting to see a big difference there. It’s just one more project that I’m trying to complete. This room was my “home office” for my jewelry business for about 11 years, since we moved back to Virginia. I want to repurpose this room, so everything has to go. I’m going to get new carpet and paint the room and make it into a Guest Room and Sewing Room. The Yard Sale will help. Do you like to go to Yard Sales? Have you ever had a Yard Sale?

@MGjhaud Thanks. I don't necessarily think it will be a FUN day. It's a lot of work. But, I will just be glad to get rid of a lot of these clothes that are now too big for me. I might take what's left to a shelter. I'm washing everything, so everything will be nice and clean. Other items I don't need any more are varied. Lots of business items. And books and games and who knows what else. I'm putting very LOW prices on everything. And I hope it doesn't decide to rain that day.

I hope so too. I will put any money I make in my Emergency account. This is going to help me get rid of some thing in this "office" I hope. I'm stacking it up in boxes and I bought some price tags yesterday at the Dollar Tree. So, I'm going to go back through the boxes and put price tags on everything.

@IreneVincent Good idea to have it all priced before you start. Then anyone can help if need be and people know what they're up for.

It rained most of the night but the sky is blue today and the sun is shining. The grass will be growing with all this rain.

Yards sales involve a LOT of work. My granddaughter is having it at her house (yard) so I will have to take all my items over there. I am in the process of boxing things up now and putting price tags on everything. Then, we will have to set up tables all over the yard and it's a lot of work.

I would like to sell some things on Ebay,. I actually have an account, but I just find it too complicated. It's good that you know how to do it. I also have an account on Etsy, but can't figure that one out either. My main problem is uploading photos of the merchandise. I don't know how to do that. My granddaughter said she would show me but she's so busy with three kids and a job.
