India.. we know so well for it is so crowed with people all around. And so the infrastructure in some part is like can never be developed to better. i live in such one place in a rented flat. My flat is very close to the transformer of the power supply to the colony. today, while i was reading newspaper, the current went off. I thought as a trouble in this heat. I began to walk across the rooms and sooner i heard this slow cracking sound from outside and what i saw.. totally threaten me to my life. the transformer had caught fire. My roommate quickly called my flat owner residing the next door. and they rushed to slow down the fire. Mission Accomplished!!.. We are all safe.

At least it wasn't an explosion. I saw one go off one time and the experience was never good... something you don't wanna be near such an occurrence. Great that you are okay.

@HAPPSINGH yeah, they happen very often during the rainy season. The power men blame it on overload or whatever, just to lay a blame on other people. I guess it has something to do with substandard transformers.

@HAPPSINGH We are still enjoying the sunny days, but in a months time it will be colder Nairobi but other areas will just be as normal as possible. We don't really experience winter season in Kenya. It is always rainy season and dry one.
