I am so frustrated

I joined a garden club this year with my neighbors on each side of me. The class starts at 2 but the one lady that has been going to this for years won't leave the house until after 2. I asked why and she said nothing important ever starts until later. I hate being late and finding a seat is not so easy when we go later. My neighbor is 90 something and if anyone knows anything about older people, a stubborn person cannot be changed. I found that out with my parents.

Yesterday we left the house at 2:15 and it took at least 10 minutes to get there and then the two other ladies brought bread pieces to feed the ducks before the class. I just went into the class and they came in later. They could have waited for after the class to feed the ducks. The class is over at 4pm.

@Courtlynn I know. I know we are all different but it is hard to get use to the way other people do things. I think it might be better to meet them there.

Some people just cannot be changed. Some people are just like that. Like you, I like being on time. I don't understand how some people don't seem to mind if they're late.

I could never understand my parents as they were always early. Now I understand them.

So what are you going to learn in garden club?

Believe it or not I am learning a lot as I moved down to Florida from way up north in New Jersey/Pennsylvania. Gardening is completely different in each of these places. My favorite plants from up north won't grow down here in the heat and the sun. Also the soil is a lot different. Here everything is sandy where up north everything was dark dirt. In the sand, water runs right through it where the dirt up north will stay wet for a longer period of time.

This would be frustrating but I don't know what you can do about it.

The only thing I can do is meet them there when they get there and go on my own.

@ramapo17 I think that is the best solution really. Maybe they'll come to their senses later.

What would happen if you left without her one time. Maybe that would speed her up.

True, a stubborn person will not change so late in life.

I don't think she will change her stance.

No she won't. I asked her one day why we go so late and she said nothing goes on earlier.
