Frugal Food Dinner Post for Thursday May 25th. Dinner for two for under $10!

Whew. Today has been kind of crazy. Cleaning just about every room and organizing a little bit as well. Also started to put some more work into one of my big painting projects, and I'm pretty happy with how it has turned out so far. Will have to take pictures as soon as I get a little more done. But that is all besides the point of this post. Tonight is bacon wrapped venison, lemon garlic butter noodles and a southwest ranch salad. Pretty frugal since once again I am using meat from the oodles of meat the neighbors gave us.
Anyway here is the breakdown:
-Venison- free!
-Bacon- $2.00 (used about half of a pack and its $4 a pack)
-Butter- $1.00
-Garlic Salt, lemon, Byrons butt rub and onion salt- $1.00
-Dole Southwest Ranch Salad Kit- $2.00
-Noodles- $0.50 (using half of a box that we used during last weeks dinner)
Dinner for two for a whopping $6.50! Can't beat that!

My main dish is usually lunch. And I spend less than $5 for a normal lunch. Or course, things change when I have guests.

We usually have sandwiches for lunch, unless I really feel like cooking- but its getting too hot for cooking more than one meal a day.

Nice deals. I never had venison. I probably never would. I had ALdi's Bremer pierogies (baked) with water and a Bolthouse Farms Strawberry Banana smoothie. I'm doing ice cream for dessert.

We had three for dinner, my husband, our four year old grand daughter and myself. Supper was perogies, sausage, asparagus mix with peppers and carrots, onions and sour cream. Dessert was pudding.
Cost of meal: 1half of the package of potatoe and cheese perogies @ $1.50 per package, 1 half package of frozen asparagus, peppers and carrots @$2.99 per package. 1 onion $0.16, turkey sausage 1/2 package @$3.69, a dollop of sour cream $0.25, butter, $0.25, and pudding $0.75.
Three people...full, satisfied and happy...under $6.00

@thislittlepennyearns that's regular price at our local grocery store "No Frills". I learned to be a frugal shopper and cook when my five children were trying to eat us out of house and home

@MorelyHunt, that sounds delicious. Where did you find them for $1.50 a package though? They are two for five bucks at best here.
