Have you ever camping?

May 26, 2017 9:51pm CST
Camping is an activity that I especially like to do when I want to forget the world and reconnect with myself. I always opt for distant places, preferably mountains. The feeling of pleasure is great... It's almost like magic. How about you?

We used to like camping but our camping is a bit more comfortable now. We're a bit too old to sleep in a tent now. It is great to get away from busy places isn't it?

I loved it and I really miss it but I never drove it as it was so big. We did use the big tents when we got rid of the RV. We still went to the race track every so often. The tent was so big and actually was 2 tents with a big crawl space from one to the other.

@JudyEv I really miss it but I understand when my husband didn't want to do it any more, The last RV we had was 36 feet long and I am glad he decided to stop before we had an accident. I just knew he wasn't up for it any more, He never liked tent camping so that was it for us. I still check the RV's out sometimes. Maybe in my next life.

@ramapo17 I'm sure you miss your camping days. Some of today's tents are amazingly quick to erect and pack away into quite small packages.

I went camping for three days last weekend and yes it was on the beach. This was the best holiday i had over ages. Got to stay up till late and watching the stars at night , listening to the waves , watching sunsets and the walks in the beach. It was a memorable holiday

I think I just camped twice. The first time is with my friends when we travelled to a river. The other side is with my husband when we travelled to a beach. I like camping because it is very interesting.

Never been camping. I'm not the outdoors type. I send my kids to camp. But they sleep in cabins, not tents. They usually say they had a good time.

I have been a camper most of my life. My first camping adventure I was 8 years old. My wife and I have camped together since we were married 29 years ago. 4 years ago we graduated from tents to a pop-up and 2 year ago from the pop-up to a hybrid (hard shell with fold out bunks at the ends.) We love camping and go as often as we can.

Sounds so interesting . The snakes and wild animals are very dangers in the mountains .

We even set the tents up in our backyard as we lived in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. We had a huge deck in the backyard with a hot tub and lots of trees. We spent one 4th of July in the tents after shooting off fire works and had such a fun time.

Yes often when we were children with our Father and Mother. Later in years, I went camping with a group of us young girls in the girls home and we sat in a tent inside filled with rain water, and cold..no

Yea. I know the feeling. Once I took a friend to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and camped in a national park. Using a basic dome tent, we spent a few days there while it basically rained the entire time. Ate canned beans and was good to be out in the middle of all the mountains and trees. It was awesome in spite of the rain.

@ramapo17 , have you had the chance to watch the movie THE LEISURE SEEKER? It is also a book. My wife and I read it together and it was about a couple, a man with adult onset dementia and his wife who was dying of cancer, but in spite of their dyer situation, they decided to go out on Route 66 and travel all the way to Disneyland in California and along the way watched home movies or slides of their times with family and friends as they trekked across the USA in a mobile camper trailer home. It was a good book I think. Sad at the end but they did it their way and I felt like we were traveling across the USA with them as they enjoyed stopping at many special places along the way.

My husband and I went camping a lot years ago. I bought a 24 foot motor home (RV) and eventually got a big 36 foot one. We tried to use them a lot but my job and my husbands job wasn't always on the same schedule. We took it to the Pocono Nascar Races twice a year as we worked out on the track for the games. After racing season we would go on weekend trips and had so much fun with our grandsons. They were little then and loved the whole camping thing. We finally got rid of the last one as my husband didn't want to drive it much any more, plus at that time the gas was so expensive and we couldn't afford it any more.
