How Do You Spot a Scammer in Freelancer?

Have you ever tried working in Freelancer.com? If you have, then I guess you have stumbled across people who are mainly out to scam on newbies. I know we have genuine people there who actually pay for the work done. But I just wonder how to reach one when the majority of hiring agents are fake. Anyone who knows how to play it safe out there? Have your say!

As an experienced person, i could easily guess the situation and kept myself away from freelancer.com. People are still not aware of it. They are now realizing it slowly. Everything is fake.Another site is Literacybase.com.
