This bonus track highlights the Bel-Airs who are considered a pioneer surf band. The LA group was not around long existing between 1961 and 1963. Drummer and former Mouseketeer Dick Dodd went on to the Standells where he sang “Dirty Water.” Other members segued to the Challengers who had the surf hit “K39.” No information as to why the title “Mr. Moto.” The first thing coming to mind was the “Mr. Moto” movies series of the 1940s. The song is not quite surf as it features a piano interlude and what is described flamenco influenced intro.
