Cupcakes In The Oven

I finally mustered up the energy to get the cupcakes in the oven. Now I have about 35 minutes while they bake to myLot. I'm just afraid if I sit in my recliner I'll fall asleep and won't wake up until the cupcakes are burned and the smoke alarms going off 
I know I wrote in my previous post that I'm extremely tired today. I'm really glad that our barbecue isn't until tomorrow so that I have today to just goof off and relax.
It's been an intermittent kind of weather day...sun comes in and then the sun disappears behind some dark and gloomy clouds. Just when it looks like the skies will open up and pour rain the sun comes back out. Crazy!
Anyway, the cupcakes are starting to smell heavenly and I'm sure my grandkids will appreciate my efforts tomorrow when their little faces are covered with chocolate frosting.

You need a timer....I didn't realize how handy they are until I got one. I am the worst cupcake baker - they comes out all different sizes!

I have a timer on my stove so I usually set that. My cupcakes come out on the flat side and I can never get them to rise up nice and high like you see in bakeries or on tv

Simple white cake with half chocolate frosting and half white frosting. This way all the kids are happy

Its rainy and cold here but fine with me as I am going nowhere and can look out and enjoy it.

It's been forever since I last made cupcakes. I used to love to bake but now I never have the energy for it. I hope yours turned out well and that your grandkids enjoy them.
