Storing Memories

Feeling sentimental this morning, I started trolling through some of the photos stored on my computer. My computer is getting old so I don’t totally trust it. I’ve backed up most of my pictures on an external hard drive.
I know I should store my photos online where they would be less likely to be lost in a computer crash, but I’m too old school to willingly pay for storage.
I have a lot of pictures of friends and family, but most of my photos are of flowers and scenery. I use them when making magnets for my Zazzle store. I don’t want to lose any of them.
How do you store your photos?
The photo above is of the hollyhocks my mother used to grow beside her house. She’s been gone for two years now. The picture brought back bittersweet memories.

Another free way of keeping you photos is to up load them to facebook. Free storage and you can down load them if you ever need them. I have lost stuff on external hard drives in the past so it is not infallible.

It's the pictures I use when making items for one of my stores that I worry about the most. I have plenty of pictures of friends and family on my phone. Some people would object to my priority list, but that's just the way it is.

Photos can really relive those days when those were taken. They never fail to bring smile or a tear in our eyes.
I might as well store all my pictures in my USB from my laptop at the office.

I have Amazon Prime and I just found out I can store photos there so I am thinking about doing it.

@BettyB I just checked, it says unlimited. I downloaded just a couple of photos and it seems to work well.

We have photos stored in many different ways @BettyB
As the years pass, new ways become available and we change what we were doing one decade to what is being done the next! However, we don't ever seem to finish what we were doing when a new idea comes along-think it is time for me to do whatever people are doing in 2017~

Thank you. I have hundreds of pictures of flowers. I use them on the magnets in my Zazzle store.

Thank you. My mother always had hollyhocks. She didn't even have to plant them. They reseeded themselves.

I have a folder dedicated to my photos. With a passion for photography the number is forever increasing. Every photo has a memory.
Those hollyhocks are beautiful

I have the pictures on a cd and that way I have them. I will not pay for cloud on the computer either.

We have something, I can't remember right nowwhat it's called, that backs up and saves every single photo and video that is separate from my hard drive. We bought it at Best Buy. They did all the transfers for me. I also have Facebook, Cloud storage, and my Safari/Apple backups. Can't be too safe. lol
I know how tough it is to lose a beloved mother. Hugs to you.
