Ignoring the sales man!

Philippines

There was this person that sells sea food and for some reason he had visited the house just to sell. But what I hate about him is that how he rang the doorbell, as if he doesn't realize how loud it was. One time, my mom was tired from the exercise that she took a nap. This guy came, but won't leave even after I told him she was sleeping. He insisted that mom told him to be there early, but he actually lied. Before I shut the door I shouted that she needs her sleep. I kept telling her not to buy seafood from this guy as he is rude. But today, he did again, but I just ignore him. I don't want him to ruin my day. Not to mention Mom's not around. I should understand he's poor and needs to sell to survive the day but that rude approach won't work on me Besides, the public market is nearby.

I really hate it when people behave like that. I don't like it when people makes noises and wakes me up from my sleep. He is a bad salesman

Hello @Nawsheen I don't want to replace my doorbell, this was loud enough for every one to hear. But this person I just couldn't get it. She should have told him not to door bell long enough.

Yes... Although he is poor but he doesn't have any right to force you to buy something and that also at the cost of your comfort. it's OK to be strict with him

Hello @prashu228 If he has wife and kids I can't blame him. But it's just something that couldn't be tolerated often.

Rude behavior by anyone coming to your door is not to be tolerated. Best to ignore him and let him go on his way.

just be careful, my friend. there are some who try to sell their goods but they might be watching you. what we do when somebody is at the gate and calling us, we don't go near him, and talk to him in a loud voice, far from him.

Hello @ridingbet Yeah, that's why we have a dog. Unfortunately, the dog didn't bark much when he was at the gate. I actually did that the last time I've confronted him.

Some salesman has this arms twisting approach just to have a sale. That's not good enough approach to me.

Hello @JediYoda maybe if he only have a cellphone number, maybe they could talk there instead of him ringing the door bell.
