The More I See, The More I Appreciate the Classics

I keep seeing all of these new movies and shows and books that come out and after reading about them and hearing their stories, it more and more just makes me want to get out the classics. I am doing just that too, but it is strange for some reason. I have never really felt this draw before, and I am not sure if it is avoiding the new or just embracing what I know in the old. Either way though, I do not see things changing anytime soon.

I'm old, so the "classics" were new to me. But I understand and agree with what you're saying. Today's movies are 99% special effects, and what's the storyline? Not to mention that so many movies are remakes/rehashes instead of original plots.....

The movies are lacking originality in various branches. The music has become totally corrupt and the expressions and sound effects are ruling the das.
