"Who tried to win in the marbles game?" I am a good shooter!!!

When I was young, my childhood friends love to play marbles. During that time, I was able to collect marbles in a big jar. The simple rule is to win over the others. We just need to draw a circle and put the small marbles in the center part. A big shooter marble is needed to hit the small marbles out of the circle. It is also one of the best outdoor games during my childhood years. “How about you, guys?” “Do you have any favorite outdoor games?” Image Credit: pixabay.com

I haven't seen it here now. The kids are so addicted to modern gadgets nowadays.

Marbles are fun, miss that game. Also fun to collect. Just have to be careful dogs, and babies also love them and try to swallow them for some reason.

I agree. We need to put marbles away from our loving pets and cutesy babies.

It was a great thing to have such outdoor games. The sad part, some of the modern kids are starting to unfamiliar with this kind of game.

We also played "shatong" before. We need to run fast while playing this and catching the stick.

I used to play that game also. There were some fantastic marbles of all colours and bigger ones also. There were about two kinds of games you could play one was with a piece of wood that had bridge shapes cut into it so you could pass the marbles through there.

That's interesting to play with the use of the piece of wood. I think I can also introduce to young kiddies.

@Shavkat Yes the piece of wood had "tunnels" cut into it and you put the marbles in there and had to get the other marbles to move them out sort of like snooker if you know what I mean.

This is really a wonderful childhood game. We were collecting a number of marbles and in the morning we were carrying them to our neighbor's house to the play. Sometimes, I was coming back without winning anything. Most of the times I happened to be the winner.

That's being a sport. We can be a winner and a loser in this kind of game.
