Good afternoon. How does one handle getting old One thing that you can do.Is break all the mirrors in the house. there isn't any other way. Some of us can handle it and someone cannot. They become so vain as they get older. For me it did not bother me.I said to myself. This is life.Cope with it photo is public

Well, the other option is to have so many lifts and tucks that your belly button ends up on the back of your neck.....

@josie_ -- when you get older, it's more like "let it all sag down"!!

Less expensive would be to "let it all hang out" idiomatically speaking of course.

I handle it keeping a Naproxen pill at hand for several pains (that I will not explain as I hate those people that seem to enjoy having more ailments than their neighbors).

I think watching vain people flip out about the natural aging process was enough for me to take life as it comes. I noticed here lately that people who are always worrying about their looks actually become what they hate. I look in the mirror and I say, Looking good but maybe not when your 100! BUT I do color my hair all one color because all the light brown and white looks like bird poop, I just went with the white, yes I will be a little white hair lady when I get old.

I am kind of sort of starting to realize that I'm aging and there's nothing I can do.

I think is is mostly, enjoy what you can do today, because tomorrow it might feel a lot different. Vanity is a big thing about getting older. If I could handle seeing my fat self in the mirror everyday, I am sure I wrinkles, spots, whatever happens to my body, won't bother me. I already have grey hairs so it is not like those will be a surprise when they become vast.

The man in your photo, George Carlin has some good advice on growing old.
Wise words attributed to the late George Carlin, one of America's great comedians, on how to stay young. It should be called "Philosophy for All Ages." Backg...

I don't think much about it. But, some things do point to it like what I wrote about in my post "No longer sweet sixteen".
