They, whoever they are, say there's no place like home....

....and they are so right! I don't sleep well, I've never been much of a sleeper. But when I clicked my heels together yesterday and said, "There's no place like home" I didn't realize that I would sleep for almost eight hours!!! Wow, the best and longest sleep I think I ever had. I woke up feeling really refreshed and energized - just like the little bunny! It's a cloudy dreary day and rain and storms are forecast but I am in such a good mood I don't mind. No matter how far away I roam....there really is no place like home! Photo is mine.

I fully agree, when we stayed away from home a couple of weeks, I felt home sick at the end of the trip.

@AbbyGreenhill I have also lived in many places, but there was always a place that I considered home.

@LadyDuck Since I was born in Baltimore that is where I consider home. .This home is my 17th residence.

I'm beginning to feel at home here. I know it will feel like it when I can get the construction materials out and make it homey.

@AbbyGreenhill My son bought the house next to his. It needed a good rehab. He's doing a great job.

@AbbyGreenhill ......It's a life cycle and won't change. Nice reason to get away.

Yes, it still after all these years brings tears to my eyes to watch that ending scene from The Wizard of Oz when Dorothy says "there is no place like home", because it is so true! I always think it after trips away and finally getting back to the house.

Comfort and familiar - you can make do away but at home it's all there in place.

I have to say the bed at the rental was very comfy and that is unusual.

So true! There IS no place like home, exactly none, zero. Home is just the best place to be where you know it is safer, more familiar, and more comfortable. You can do everything you want to do without being judged at home, you can be who you are!
