My beautiful white bearded Iris plants were in full bloom over the past few weeks but they are now fading. So sorry to see them go. It is a pity Irises fade so quickly. But at least I have my purple Irises that just started to bloom and will talk about them in a different post. Was able to capture some photos of the white iris before they are gone until next spring. Why do beautiful things fade so quickly?

Yes we need the rains for plants to grow but too much can kill them

It is quite beautiful. Everything is fleeting, I guess. I wish they would stay longer too.

Yes why do they? The eternal question. They are certainly most beautiful sorry to see them go. But glad you got the photo of it! Can't wait to see the purple ones now.

That iris is beautiful isn't it. I have some purple ones here, the small type. I have tried to keep them under control, they used to grow wild in my gardens.

@Freelanzer The big variety with just deep purple flowers is so beautiful (because I don't have them ). Mine one is an OK purple with some yellow, pretty in a sense (only because they grow wild here and it took me months to kill them in certain areas).
