Mosquito Misery

When will I ever learn? Mosquitos always fall in love with me. They find my flesh very attractive and tasty. But I don't love them back! Do you suppose this is why they make me suffer so?? Oh woe is me! But it's my own fault. We met our kids and grandchildren at a local nature trail yesterday evening to have family pics taken. I was all about the excitement of seeing the family and getting some great shots of everyone. I didn't even think about wearing insect repellent. DUH! Sure enough, I started itching early this morning and it has become worse. The bites are now red and have become welts, each one about the size of a quarter. They will be swollen and itchy for about a week. Oh Yay. Ah, I have at least one episode like this every summer. I know there are people with serious health issues. This is not really a big deal. But! I'd be happy to know if anyone else has allergic reactions to mosquito bites like I do. Also, what are some good (preferably natural) repellents and remedies? Thank you.

In western Oregon, those pests are are not too plentiful. They like my wife a lot better than they do me, I have noticed.

@JamesHxstatic Thanks for your comment. Similar situation here. It seems that those skeeters don't like my husband very much either.

Eat more hot sauce, they may not like you so much then. It works with ticks.
