I think putting the long antenna to get the award was a mark of laziness. I don't think they deserve the award and that the measurement of the building should be all that counts and any fixtures or attachments.

Funny. Not the antennas, it's YOU. It's not marked as the tallest building in the world because of the antennas, do you think people who declared "tallest building in the world" claims are that stupid? It's claimed with "the floor which a human can set their feets on". The 'antennas' are there, but it is not accounted for the claim.

The Twin Towers which u mention is also known as the Petronas Towers which are located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It were once the world's tallest buildings when measured from the level of the main entrance to the structural or architectural top. it have since been unseated by the Taipei 101 on October 17, 2003. The Petronas Twin Towers are currently the tallest twin towers in the world, and they lay claim to being the world's tallest high rise of the 20th century. Critics point out that this applies to only one of four height categories defined by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat - although the three additional height categories were only introduced as the tower neared completion in 1996, as opposed to the original category which had been in use since 1969. BTW,are you from malaysia?

I'm not surprised this discussion came from someone who came from Singapore. Why, dear, you want a building which will be declared as the tallest building in the world in your country too? Yeah, now that title goes to the building in Taiwan, no longer to Malaysia's Petronas Twin Tower. But i feel sorry how your country couldn't even afford to even be in the list. That's ok, you have more years to go, before the island you live in sink in the Straits of Malacca. Good luck! Hey, i'm just kidding ok. Nothing that i wrote here i really meant it for real. Don't take it to heart. I love your country too. Peace.

the tallest building has nothing to do with the antennas. it's counted from the ground until the last portion of its roof which is upper 88th level by metre or metric. however i never heard about Malaysia Tower, i knew it's as PETRONAS Twin Tower.
