Who out there uses these services (or services like them) on a regular basis? I can see in case of emergency (if its cheaper than a taxi) but as an every day transportation option? We used to be warned against getting in cars with strangers and against meeting people we met from the internet and now we literally summon strangers on the internet to get in their cars. Oh how times have changed. I guess their a better option than say hitchhiking. My question to the rest of you is this. Do you use these services and if so what precautions, if any, do you take to ensure a safe trip?

I don't use them. I don't feel safe.

I don't use them either, my town has no market for it, as it's only 3 miles long, north to south. As for driving for these guys, same reason, plus my truck is too old.
