If you got mugged?

What would you end up doing if you got mugged one day? I know the very first thing I would do would be tell the police what happend, and try to get my stuff replaced by my insurance company. Than I would go and hunt down the person who did it, than Unexpectedly beat the hell out of him, and leave him in the streets, and take the items he had stolen from me back. Thats if the police dont get to him first. I was thinking about this because I just watched a movie, forgot which one, but the guy got mugged and he ran off with it, and never got cuaght.
