Guess it is time for an update

I have not said much for the last two days about hubby and how his recovery is doing. Mondays are long work days for him, and we did some errands afterwards. He made it just fine. By this morning, I knew I did not need to follow him around at work. I did the errands and some shopping while he worked. Again a full shift, plus we saw his primary care physician. We went to schedule occupational and physical therapy on Monday, and it turned out no one had written a prescription for it. So his regular doctor wrote that, and I got a session scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday. Hubby also has to have an evaluation by the occupational therapist that says he is safe to drive. It is state law, after a stroke. We both wake up really early, and he sets his own schedule. He is not allowed to work before 6 a.m. or after 8:30 pm. So we go to work as soon as we can in the morning. We decided that we can take a nap when we get home, so we did. We have eaten and will be doing some stuff outside now. The cardiologist has still not returned our calls, but the primary physician will do the calling and see if that helps.

It is hard to admit we are getting older and need more medical care, but yes, he is doing really well.

He is not allowed to drive, but probably could. He has to have an occupational therapist evaluate him.

It sounds like things are moving along nicely. Don't you just hate it when a doctor doesn't return calls? So annoying.

They finally called the house, although I had called and asked them to call the cell. I had to call back today. Got an appointment scheduled now.

My life is around Tony`s " how he feels" of the day. He sleeps a lot since surgery and that is okay with me. Sounds like your hubby is making a full recovery, YAYYY!

He is pretty pleased. The use of his hand is still slower than he would like, but if you did not know he had had a stroke you would not notice it.
