Do You Pray For Peace on Earth?

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the entire world were at peace? If we didn’t have to wake up every day and hear about the terrible things that are happening in the world? Have you ever repeated the “Lord’s Prayer?” Jesus taught us to pray for God’s Kingdom to come and for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. What really is God’s will? God wants us to live in peace and happiness on a paradise earth forever. The Bible says that God’s Kingdom will make that possible, and that it is God’s will that all people learn about that Kingdom and his purpose for us. Psalm 37:11, 29 Isaiah 9:7 God wants us to benefit ourselves. Our heavenly Father desires that we enjoy eternal happiness. Isaiah 48:17, 18 He has promised that the one who “does the will of God remains forever.” 1 John 2:17 You might enjoy reading more about this. Keep praying. Philippians 4:6 says: "In everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God." Always express your prayers to God, through the name of Jesus Christ. 1 Timothy 2:5 says: "There is one God and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus." So we should always pray through Jesus. At John 16:23, 34, Jesus tells us: "If you ask the Father for anything, in my name, He will give it to you..."

Kuttu, did you ever think that the evil people of this world did it and not G-d. I know many of my people turned away our G-d because of what happened to them in the Holocaust. There also those that survived because they believed totally in our G-d and their faith in Him never wavered. I believe we are put on this earth for a purpose. I believe totally in my G-d because I know He is there for me. I have gotten through tough times because of Him, but, I am not here to convince you to believe again. You have to find your own way or own path and no one can tell you how to feel otherwise. Only you can feel when you are ready too. We do not like to convert people to our religion and we do not like others trying to convert

I pray daily for our country and its leaders. I pray for them to have wisdom in their decision making for one thing as well as for them to be knowledgeable. I hope that you are doing well.

Hello Kimberley. I hope you and your family are well. It's nice to hear from you. It's a good thing to pray for our government leaders to have wisdom in making decisions for the good of the citizens.

There has never been any lasting peace since man walk the earth. We fight to survive, We fight because of greed, We fight because of bigotry and prejudicial belief that we are better than others.

There is one religion that refuses to go to war, no matter what country they live in. You probably know of them because there are over 200,000 Jehovah's Witnesses in the Philippines. Check out their web site at
Jehovah’s Witnesses: Our official website provides online access to the Bible, Bible-based publications, and current news. It describes our beliefs and organization.

Nice picture and very calming. I believe there is more to understanding the cultures that are at war with each other than pushing them to peace. I am Jewish and live in Israel. I as a Jew and my people have been persecuted for as long as I can remember and we are still dealt a bad hand even though we finally have our one and only country in the whole entire world. We contribute so much to the world, but, all the blames that happen are said that we Jews did them. They do them to themselves. Even single leader that does not understand our situation tells us and listens to the lies of our enemies that we should give them land. We have given them land and they continue to take and want to murder us. We want peace, but, they do not. They say they want peace, but, we know the truth. They do not want us here. Our history is here and we belong here. We are the only democracy in the Middle East. They behead their own and force them to stay in places they do not want and we send our Army in to defend us. So, that is what I have to say.

@IreneVincent Yes, Alice I know gypsies were also in the camps. I know there were others, but, Hitler hated us more than anything else and had a final solution in mind for us to get rid of us. He never understood that he could not get rid of all of us and now we finally have our own country and can protect ourselves.

@IreneVincent I will pass. I am Jewish and I know about concentration camps. Hitler had a thing for my people and wanted anyone that had an ounce of Jewish blood gone from this earth, but, he did not succeed. In all the periods people that tried to kill us were gone and we were still here. Our G-d wants us around. I am not a fan of Jehovah's witnesses.

Peace is what the word fundamentally needs right now. This is the greatest treasure that have been stolen from us. And the only way to attain peace is to start within ourselves, but having world peace is a lot more difficult than having it just on your own. And this is the greatest dream a man can dream of here on earth.

Romans 12:12 says: "Persevere in prayer." The Bible says: "God is not partial, but in every nation, the person that fears Him and works righteousness is acceptable to Him." Acts 10:34, 35 "Whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we are observing His commandments and are doing the things that are pleasing in His eyes." 1 John 3:22 "Jehovah God is far away from the wicked ones, but the prayer of the righteous ones HE hears." Proverbs 15:29

I think even if we do pray, sometimes nature has to do the job.
