What do you do when one of your fb friends keep on sending you messages about God and the world?

Do you 1) Unfriend her 2) Block her 3)Telling her to stop it?
This woman who keeps on sending me messages about God, proverbs about life and the world which I have to send to other fb friends and that I should not ignore them because something worse will happen to me when ignoring the messages.
I find these messages annoying because in the first place, this woman is not even communicating with me in a normal way. Yes, she is a friend of my close friend but I only accepted her friendships request because I thought I can chat with her in fb as she seems an interesting woman in her profile.
I have deleted her as my fb friend yesterday thinking I would not receive any messages from her anymore but nay, she still can. Then I thought of blocking her but an idea came to my mind. I thought that every time she will message me those nonsense, I will reply her with the links of my blogs. 1 message of her is equals to 1 blog link of mine. Let us see who will surrender.
So, I received a message again this morning from her and I reply with the link on how to make an ice cream. Do you know what she then said? " IT IS STILL SO COLD FOR ME TO EAT AN ICE CREAM " LOL

why don't you unfollow her if you are still friends with her on FB? for me, i do that, then i also check my settings that i should "see first". i have 166 friends on FB and they are my family, close friends, and colleagues, but the ones i follow their posts are my family only.

@thelme55 the message could be text messages i suppose. because if you deleted her, she can still send that. if you totally block her, she cannot send you any message anymore.

@ridingbet good if it is only text messages but she is sending me kilometer long paragraphs as pm in fb. I will totally block her as soon as possible. I have to go to my laptop or cp to block her in the fb setting.

@ridingbet, I already deleted her as fb friend but she can still send me a message. Today, she sent me a kilometer message again. I didn't read what it was all about but I know it was nonsense again when I checked this out before I went to work.

@thelme55 Some people think it is rude if you block them for that. But I think it is rude to impose your faith on others.

I will eventually @marguicha if she doesn´t stop. I am sure she will ask my friend why I blocked her if I did.

I have to agree that messages like that are irritating and confusing when the sender is not a close friend. But she could also mean well. Or she could just be trying to reach out and this is her way of starting a connection or conversation with you. I like your blog link response - and her response clearly means she read it. So I think you should just send her blog links whenever she send you messages about that. If it's something that really irritates you, you don't have to read it all the way.
See how it will play out. Maybe she'll get tired of it eventually. Who knows.

I don´t think she is trying to reach out because she is just spamming. She sent at least more than 5 a day. Yes, maybe she has read my blog. At the beginning I read what she sent but now no more. I believe in God but I don´t want anybody to tell me to pray for this or that or else something bad will happen to me if I just ignore it. Maybe she will stop when I keep sending her my blog every time she send a message to me. Thanks @Raine38

I just ignore.
I also have one friend who keep sending messages, quotes and images as well.
I can't blocked or delete her from my lists coz she is a good friend though.

I still have some friends who sent me those kinds of messages but they only sent once in a while and so I didn't delete them. This woman who is spamming is now blocked besides that, I unfriend her yesterday @jaiho2009

i despise those copy/paste/share 'r the world'll come to'n abrupt end sorta thingies. thankfully there aint nobody'n my fb that sends me such. i'm gigglin' o'er yer solution, 'pparently yer efforts fell'n blind eyes though :)

@thelme55 sad when such comes to that, but i'm glad that'cha did't. i've mostly family'n my fb, which's the only reason i still go there. seems those young'uns 'f mine aint figured ya can email pictures?? 'tis the only way i get 'em 'f the grands ~ when they post'em'n fb. sigh...where'd i go awry with their raisin'??

There were a lot of weird people sending me messages in fb. And it really annoys me when its kind of a chain letter. I do believe in God but a lot of things being shared are bunch of nonsense. I didn't block the user but I hide all the post similar to it. and I don't get anything like it anymore.

I would block them! I particularly don't like messages that claim "they should be forwarded before so and so to avoid misery blah blah blah... it is a nuisance really and to send religious messages like that is like playing with one's faith ... It is NOT right. I don't forward such messages to others to avoid putting them in similar situation ... But yeah, I might tell them nicely to stop such forwards once and then block if they don't understand that they're wrong ... Sending religious messages are OK to an extent ... but nuisance isn't!

I too have such a strange friend on FB. I knew her when growing up in NYC and she was among my childhood friends. She does not post her own photo on FB but now and then sends me similar messages to pass on to other. Last one was on Mother's Day telling me to pass the message on to other moms. I have not done any blocking or unfriending but what I do is simply ignore the messages when they show up. Hope you can come to some sort of sense with your strange friend. Too bad we cannot bring these two strange folk together.
