What A "Holiday" Day, Not!

Oh yeah, sure, Friday was a holiday by us, and what are people supposed to do on holidays? Rest! Right? It's been so warm here for winter, that many decided to barbecue.
How did I spend the day? I spent it winter cleaning my home, uh, yeah, spring is still a while away, so I can't say spring cleaning, hence winter cleaning, and when I say cleaning I mean, cleaning!
I got onto the kitchen counter to wash the top of the kitchen cupboards, kept smacking the back of my head into the ceiling (because I am a tall lady) washed windows, even washed the top of the shower, I do all "top" cleaning (anything that involves getting on a chair or ladder, because my sister has a problem with heights).
There was dusting and scrubbing and general dirt busting! And I now have some interesting looking cuts on my hands due to over enthusiastic cleaning. But goodness knows there are more awful things in life than a few cuts. And that was my Friday, holiday, day....can I get a whoop dee dooo?
How was everyone's Friday? Anything exciting for the rest of the weekend? I'll be baking cupcakes for Fathers Day, his favourite. By the time this "long weekend" is finished with me, I'll need another weekend!
Photo is of some dew drops on the plant outside my window, can you spot the dew drops? I just thought I'd share it, cause it's pretty to me.

Hi there @Rhombus . There has been some crazy weather in your part of the country! And can you believe that Jo'burg has been hotter than Durbs for this time of year? Sorry about the cupcakes, it's tough to be active when it is cold, I mentally send you cupcakes!

What a useful way to spend your holiday Whooi doo dah dandy! I bet you are pleased with yourself now you have done all that. It has turned quite hot here for us. It was 28C when I got up this morning, Done the washing already it dried within an hour. I will iron it well I say in a minute but I am putting it off but I will do it soon! My daughter is coming tomorrow to cook dinner for us! ( Oh lordy I know what that will mean. Hours of cleaning the kitchen after she has finished)

. Yes I am quite pleased with my efforts. Good summer has finally arrived by you and I do not blame you for putting off the ironing at all! Uh oh, enjoy the dinner and good luck with the clean up, @garymarsh6 I second your oh lordy!

Lovely photo Catherine.
You are a great woman to do all that hard cleaning.
I know it is tough doing that kind of cleaning, deep cleaning.
I am the only one here to do it and my ceilings are high so I have to get some Swiffer mop to reach.
My Friday was running around it was insane with paperwork and wasted trips made twice.
Now today is my holiday.

Thank you so much @TiarasOceanView . Sorry you have to do all the cleaning on your own, it is very tiring, I would help you if I could. Your Friday was very busy too, I hate wasted trips. I am happy you are having a holiday today And I hope you are enjoying it.

I spotted the dew drops immediately in your pretty photo. You have an eye for beauty. Our cabinets go right up to the ceiling, so I lucked out having to scrub up there. However, I need a step stool to reach things on those high shelves. At least your work is done, and you have a sparkling clean house now. Hope your dad has a wonderful Father's Day! Try to relax. On Friday my cleaning lady came, our son stopped by for a visit, and I had a nail appointment.
