I just wonder how Cleveland Cavaliers fans must be feeling now that their general manager David Griffin has been dismissed by Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert on Tuesday since they could not reach an agreement to work with one another anymore? I am sure Cavaliers fans will feel they have been kicked in the stomach after losing their defense of their National Basketball Association Championship to the Golden State Warriors in five games in a best of seven series. Again. Griffin was the general manager of the Cavaliers for three years in which the Cavaliers won one NBA championship. Chauncey Billups who is currently employed by ESPN is a close friend of Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue and Cavaliers forward LeBron James would like to be the next general manager of the Cavaliers. Here is one catch. Billups has no front office experience which could lead to the scenario if he is hired to be the general manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers, I can see the late Desi Arnaz when he played the role of Ricky Ricardo on the sitcom "I Love Lucy" in the show called "Never Do Business With Friends And Relatives" when he warned Fred and Ethel Mertz who were his close friends and his then wife Lucy the advice his father game him which was "Never do business with friends and relatives because money changes people when merchandise is sold." It is a shame that Gilbert did renew the contract of Griffin just because he failed to win more than one NBA championship for the city of Cleveland. Will Cavaliers fans revolt against Gilbert for letting go of Griffin the way he did? Don't hold your breath.
