The most challenging part of travelling for me is communicating with the locals. It is easy if the local can speak English, but if not, it will be a real headache. How about for you?

When I travel I like to talk with the locals, I like to know more about the local culture, this is the reason why it helps to know several languages.

Thats so cool! I mean knowing several languages. But in my country there are cdrtain tribes that has a dialect thats very hard to learn not because its complicated byt more of because the tribe people dont trust the outsiders enough to teach them

Not being able to bring all of your love ones hahaha. I mean in my previous work I get to travel from north to south but I can't bring my family with me. Although there are lots of beautiful things I could have seen and experienced, but it kind of lost its appeal on me. But don't get me wrong, I still tried to appreciate it but still not that fulfilling for me.

@HeartBM That is the same thing with me too. I wish I could bring mom with me but she is afraid of heights. Aside from that, my salary is not that big too to treat all my family members.

@annierose true also. I cant bring my children to most of my travels anyways because of its nature. I also have to consider their safety. But still travelling with your love ones still the best

To me how to recognize the direction or the road is a challenge for me. As I am easy to get lost on the way. I am a person who is poor at the direction. It is the same even if in my own city

@youless I can relate with you. In fact, I also started a discussion about it. I wonder why I am not good memorizing places.

For me language as well as the food. Food what we get in the place should be good and suitable , as if it's not suitable we may fell sick and all the enjoyment will be gone

@prashu228 I agree with you. I enjoyed and ate too much noodles in one of the countries I visited. After that, I felt a pain in my body. Later on, I realized I got UTI.

I really hate going through security at an airport, it is time-consuming and difficult with computers and phones and such.

@BelleStarr I hate it too. On our recent trip they hold my luggage. The security officer showed an upset face searching for something inside my luggage. He and the other saw photos of us in our travel. Then, they saw ref magnet souvenirs. They thought it was a deadly weapon.

@BelleStarr I haven't experienced that. Haven't tried to buy foods in other countries. I got hold two times in the airport. First one is because of bottled water and the second one is because of ref magnets.

when it was my first time to set foot in Kuwait, the first Arabic words that i learned was "shukhran", and that is thank you. learning the language was not easy for me, and it was good to know we had 3 months of studying the language.

@ridingbet I read the words "selamat datang" many times in Indonesia. I have found out we have some tagalog words similar to what they are using.

Depends where I am going and how I am travelling. For me and being disabled it can be interesting, especially when flying. When you need to use the restroom some stewardess are very helpful while others are not which in turn can make things quite interesting

@KrauseHome I understand. It is difficult to move inside the airplane most especially if there is a turbulence. I experienced that when I needed to go to the toilet and the airplane will be landing soon.

I've never traveled past the border into Canada and Mexico from the U.S. I love to travel. I suppose the hardest part for me is the driving.

@FourWalls I understand. My boyfriend decided to take an international driving license so all that we need to do is just to rent a car. But, I got worried for his health. He would be too tired so I just suggested that we rent a car and a driver.

When I read your title I was planning to answer that the most challenging part is putting everything away when I get home. We mostly do road trips and there is so much stuff to haul out of the car and put away. But I agree, struggling with language is the hardest thing.

@BettyB Same here. I don't like to be in the airport 3 hours in advance, but if it is an international travel, I need to be there 3 hours prior to my flight.

@BettyB I have read that we shouldn't let fear take over on us. It is like that when we fear on something, we are not putting our trust to God. I think that if it is time for us to go back to our Father, no matter how much we take care of our life here on Earth, once our God call us, we don't have any choice but to go home with Him.

@annierose I want to travel to Minnesota this summer. I usually drive, but my husband wants me to fly this time, but I've heard so many horror stories lately. I used to love to fly. Now I'm not so sure.
