your best feature

It's a question I particularly dislike, probably nearly as much as the question that never fails to be asked in an interview, What would you say your strengths are? What would you say is your best {physical} feature? I am not good with compliments, and even less so when I have to compliment myself. It feels somewhat arrogant to say something good about oneself, no? Particularly when best is a woolly and subjective term. Is it best in terms of prettiest? Or strongest? Or most perfectly formed? Or a nice colour? Least hairy? Bit the cat likes to nibble on? Bit your significant other likes to nibble on? Bit you like being nibbled? I usually say my hair, but as I get older it gets thinner and seems to fall out more frequently. And it has grey in it, which has not reached a pleasingly distinguished and alluring stage. However, the hot weather has revealed a new best feature! for me to consider. My feet. I think I have pretty feet. I think that if you met my feet before you met my face your first impression of me physically would be much different. Ladies, this weather has brought forth some very ugly feet. Long yellow toenails? No, I keep mine short and pretty coloured, even in the winter months when nobody can see them but a select chosen few. I think my toes are formed surprisingly well. My feet aren't too big, or too small. Nor are they too wide or too narrow. I don't have a ginormous big toe. Nor two. It's a shame that my best feature is one that very few people will ever see. Or even that my best features are ones that very few people will ever see. And thank the goodness that this question is asked rarely, and generally by survey sites. I am not a survey site, but what would you say is your best feature? *smile*

Yes, but what about physically? I can think of lots of best features for non-physical, but not for physical. :)

@arthurchappell That completely freaks me out. I find eye contact very difficult, even with people I know intimately. :)

Hair would usually be my go-to for my best feature too, but only on a good hair day and there are very few of those these days!

ugh, i so despised that first query. 'bout 's much 's yer 2nd one, lol. i'm with ya'n the hair, 's i've gotten more compliments 'f such fer years. such's also thinnin' greatly, there's grey but hard to distinguish 'mong the red 'n blonde, lol. personally i don't see a 'best' feature, nor e'en close runner'ps myself. i wish i'd cute lil feet, like yerself. e'en though folks rarely get to see 'em, ya know they're there :)

@poppylicious I cringe when asked in an interview (or other) situation what I consider to be good about myself. I'm just sure the questioner is laughing in derision when I answer. Others quite enjoy answering the question when put to them and have a great self-confidence. My best physical attribute? I could boast in the certain knowledge that the questioner wouldn't have the nerve to ask me to prove it!
