Wish I could control what kind of the dream I have

dream

I had a good dream when I fell asleep. In my dream, my husband, son and I had a travel together. And meanwhile we had three cats that followed with us all the time. They were just like our pets. I like that dream very much because I like travel and I like cats. I just have a fancy thought. It would be great if we could control what kind of dream we have when we are sleeping. Of course it would avoid all nightmares. Then we could have 8 hours happy time when we were sleeping

I would rather allow dreams varied as they come rather not connected with our reality here, what we are used to. Then we wonder why and the relevance of them to us - our subconscious mind leading us to wherever it wants to - siva

I have always been a dreamer. Even as a young kid, I really dream a lot. And yes there was a time when I had this wonderful dream and I suddenly had to wake up and go to the toilet. So when i went back to bed, I tried hard to think of that dream because I wanted a continuation. And yes, I was able to continue having that dream! So yes, it's possible to control what you can dream I guess.

I think it is hard to do.They say we dream about what we did and thought of ,however I incline to comparing the dream to montage that brings magical flavour to our dreams by combining varieties of things happened in real life.

Sometimes I have some very bad dreams and I usually wake up feeling exhausted. If I could have only good dreams then it would have been great. I would have been able to sleep peacefully most of the times

Wouldn't that be wonderful? I wish for that too so much. It would be good for us, good to relax the mind. Maybe one day with tech advancement.

Yes, dreams are interesting, and I suspect each dream is fashioned as it is and comes to us when it does for a specific reason. Dream interpretation, like anything else in life, can only be achieved when we reach a level of understanding within ourselves that matches the understanding being given to us in the dream. Our dreams reflect and echo who we currently are. They try to show us who we really are, and how we are acting and being in our lives. Dreams and our waking life are very similar. Only because they separately occur do we notice any difference. If one of these states was continuous, we could not then ever know one state from the other. In reality, though, both states are forms of dreaming. In the real world of our soul, everything remains the same continuing state of oneness, which is unchanging and unchangeable within this state of oneness. All changes occur only within the discontinuous illusion of created time. These changes merely colour the light of oneness for a time with one of its infinite possible shades. No dream lasts forever. All is only different folds within the same fabric. Dreams have meaning in them for you when you decipher from them the correct symbolic landing tools for you to plan your own life by. These tools of interpretation come to you as required. We need never worry about anything for now. We just need to see the sense that is there in all things as love, (or as coming to us from love), even if we can't see the sense, as being real sense, for now. all will make sense in the end.

Perhaps at first the scientist can figure out how to avoid nightmares. Then next step they can create something to allow us to design our good dreams.

One of my kids says he can control his dreams, while he's sleeping. He's told me if he starts to have a bad dream he'll sort-of "change the channel" to something else. I'm not sure if he can truly do that (lucid dreaming, as someone else pointed out) or if he's making it up.

I wish I could have at least 8 hours sleep in the first place. It takes me a long time to fall asleep and then I may wake up after finally fell asleep and then once again it takes awhile for me to go back to sleep. I wish we could control what we dream about. I have had crazy and good dreams and I prefer the good ones. Your dream sounded very nice.

In any case, the majority of my dreams I cannot remember them very well. I think they are related to health state and the mood. Personally, when I am not cozy, my dreams also are not good as we want.
