Where are the Mylot males in the top five of Top rated or Hot discussions? I don't know what is the percentage of male/ female members here, but I expected to see more men frequently at the top. So far @TheHorse and @JolietJake are the male members who are there most frequently. On another subject : Do you think women are better bosses than men? . In my work experience I have dealt with both - and I prefer working with a male boss. What has your experience been like?

You are very clever, lol!!!! Those two are prolific contributors, but I have had zero time to check that list in months. I trust you. I always preferred working for a male boss when given the choice.

@Kandae11 Aww, thank you! To be honest, I haven't checked any list since Florida. I shouldn't be here right now. lol

I have had both genders of bosses, both have been good and bad experiences. To me, it's more about the market and demographics than it is about bosses, as I have experienced lots of turnover with management (most have stayed max 2 years in the job)

@Kandae11 it's getting to be a rare thing when one stays at a job for a long period of time.

I have a great male boss right now but I like female bosses too. I try to support women in typically male positions if I can.

Yes, most definitely, they would need strong female support when in such positions.

I don't think I have ever been at the top of any list here at myLot. Some might think it's because I write rubbish or that I'm just not popular, but I prefer to think I appeal to a niche market. I don't like bosses, male or female.

@Kandae11 OK, well I'll just stick with my niche theory then.

I don't think it has anything to do with one's writing - rubbish does appear at the top periodically. I am happy that I am my own boss.

Me too. There is a difference, even though "the boss" is what he or she is called in the workplace.

I have worked both with females and male bosses. Overall I had very good rapport with my female bosses.

A misunderstanding here, the post is not about better writing, as we all know there are top quality posts which never make it to the top, I am simply comparing the man/woman ratio at the top. A post about the weather could make it there.

@Kandae11 I haven't had any awful female bosses but have had one awful male boss. He wanted to be the best at everything and have the best things...I had significantly more money than him and was better at the job than he was. At the time I had a porsche and he couldn't get over someone in my position having that type of car

I won't say the others are not active, they are probably not interested in being there. Anyway, since this post I have seen a few climbing quickly.

I have worked with both. I found my female boss to be a bit impatient. But she was a very good person. I had two male bosses. One was good. The other one was the worst boss i had. No people management skills at all I think it depends on the personality of the person too

I agree wholeheartedly - the personality of the person will determine how well he or she interacts with those they supervise.

a few of my fellow Filipinos reach the top rate discussions. our president of the school is a male (a doctor) and his wife is the executive vice president (a nurse and PhD). i have no difficulty working with either sexes.
