Another day still waiting

I had a good sleep last night only because they gave me a sleeping pill and an ativan because I cried a lot yesterday and was really depressed. They figured it would help settle my anxieties.
They give me blood thinners. It is a needle in my stomach in the morning and at night. This morning I woke up covered in blood from the little needle hole. It was all over my nightgown, my sheets, blankets and I slept through it all. I rang the buzzer and they camr in and clear me and the bed up. The cardiologist said I don't have to take them anymore so I was happy about that. So I was feeling pretty weak this morning after losing all that blood. Feeling better now though it is still bleeding. They keep changing the bandages and it goes right through. It should stop soon.
I was down for x-rays earlier today to be checked before surgery. I am feeling much better now. I had a visit from a friend that I haven't seen in 12 years which was nice.
So I continue to wait they told me I would have a date and time by this evening.

Yes still waiting..poor Laurel bleeding so much..it must have been those blood thinners..well you are no doubt all clean now and fresh.
Yes those pills can knock you for a loop I know. Hate them but good if you got some sort of sleep at least.
And now you are clear with the xrays for surgery..all done for that part.
Wish they would tell you so you don't have to wait anymore.
So nice your friend came to visit as well.

The surgery is scheduled for Tuesday at 1pm but that could change.

I can only imagine how difficult this is, so many different procedures and things to bear all the while you are waiting in limbo for a date. I hope that you get that date and that the time passes quickly, I know that you want this behind you so you can start to heal.
Nice that an old friend stopped by, that must have been nice given the rest of the things that have been going on. I hope that you get some more nice surprises like that-you so deserve it!

Sorry to hear about the bleeding incident while you was sleeping. I hope you get your surgery day and time soon. That was nice that you got to see a friend you have not seen in a long time glad you enjoyed your visit together.

Okay it makes sense now why you are bleeding so much, it is the blood thinners. I am glad you don't have to have them anymore.

I have naturally thin blood, so I know what it's like to have even the tiniest little scratch bleed for what seems like eons. It's crazy how much blood can come out of the littlest spot.
Anyway, despite your anxiety and bleeding issues, I am glad to hear from you so that I know you're still doing okay!

They wouldnt have noticed because I was sleeping on my stomache and they have me monitored so all my vitals were good all night long

Tony had to have those shots each time he was in the hospital, the reason for th thinners is to keep you from having another heart attack, more than likely today should be the last day of those, they will stop them usually 3 days before surgery.
A few weeks ago when Tony had the liver tumor removed one of his 2 I.V.`s was coming out and he woke me to help him to the bathroom and his bed, gown, sheets the works was covered in blood too, very scary. In all my years of tending to the sick I had never seen nothing like that.
If possible try to watch t.v or chat with us, anything to take your mind off being stuck there. I know its hard to do but relaxing for you is a must..
