Trapped For Two Days

I love the coast, the sand and palm trees, but I do not like the tropical storms and hurricanes and that is why I never moved to the warmer climate. Living several hours away, under the cover of trees in the woods I figured I could have the warmth and not so much the storms by living this far South. But sometimes we get the left overs of the storms, like the last that came in through the Gulf blasted its way across Alabama. Today was day two of being trapped inside because of hard down pouring rain. I hope that by tomorrow this mess has passed and I get to get out of the house without being soaked and wet feet even in your sneakers. Life on this homestead is at a stand still.

It is no fun being trapped inside our house with such hard rain pouring outside. What is the forecast? When would the sun come out?

I hope you are going to have a better day today. I also refused to move to tropical countries, I fear the hurricanes.

@andriaperry For the moment no thunderstorms here, but they should start during the night.

Oh yes it found its way to you Andria. I too hope that this will pass and you can get back to living and not being trapped indoors. I remember when I lived only 50 steps from the beach for around 3 yrs. I adored it but the storms were brutal and frightening. We decided to move inland, but I still miss it.

@andriaperry Well it is the bottom line you would be swept out to see living so close.

We were under a tornado watch but thank God all we got was rain and strong winds. They cancelled the watch several hours early.

On this side of the country we've been having a bad heatwave. I don't know what's worse, a heatwave or pouring rain with no end in site. We had a near failure at the dam near my hometown earlier this year during the rainy season, so I think for now I'll take the heat.

I didn't go to a concert today, partly because of the flooding rains from Cindy. And I live about 700 miles from the Gulf of Mexico.

It is never a fun time, watching the rain or storm going on and on. Your rain might have heading my way, we are having a very dark sky here after having two very windy days.
