Okay Now Where Are My Glasses?

I'm always losing my reading glasses. I think it's psychological. It's like I have put on curse on my failing eyesight and doomed it to blurry guess work. I usually wear them hooked to my shirt but have often reached there to get them only to find them gone. That's followed by a shuffling scurry around the house (or worse at work) only to step on them and break the frame. Duh. I tried the grandma-style chain around the neck but find I get it tangled in everything with the same result. Top of my head? Nope. I've watched them fall to their demise more than once. People think I own a full wardrobe of reading glasses since I wear different ones all the time. Little do they know I keep the eyeglass companies in business. The good thing about this silly problem of mine is I am able to wear dollar store priced glasses. As long as the needed strength is there, I can change my style to my heart's content. Do you wear glasses? Do you have a hard time keeping up with them?

I deal with the problem by having glasses all over the house and even in my car (cheap ones).

I need to do that. My biggest problem is at work where I only need the glasses sometimes. Ugh.

I don't wear glasses but I'm forever losing pens and pencils... and sunglasses now that I think about it!

Wish there was some kind of beeping device we could stick on glasses to let us know where they are. Yes I wear readers.

A beeping device would be helpful for sure.

I think if I wore them all the time, it would be better. I am like the hubs - just need them to read. So they get mismanaged :))

Don't you know that every 5 minutes there are these invisible people who tears everything around you down and rebuilds everything so fast you can'd see them. And occasionally they make a mistake and put small items, like keys and glasses, in the wrong place therefore they are not always where you left them. (I saw this on tv–I think it was on The Twilight Zone.) I've worn glasses ever since I was a kid. Occasionally I will put them somewhere and have to hunt for them but not very often. Once many, many years ago, at work I was running around looking everywhere for my glasses when someone asked what I was looking for. I told them I was looking for my glasses. They said, "You're wearing them." Boy did I feel like a fool.

I think I've done something similar. Thanks for giving me the excuse to blame those invisible people. I'll own it :))

Yes, I have two pairs of glasses and I know people that buy the dollar glasses or shekel glasses we call them here. I still believe in my eye doctor to get glasses. I have put them down at times and forgot where I put them. I wear contact lenses but I cannot change my prescription because that would throw off both pairs of glasses I also have. I had to break down and get a pair of reading glasses too.

Mine are just reading glasses so no prescription required. I guess we all forget where we put them sometimes.

I only need mine to read so I'm not wearing them all the time. If I need to read a label at work, I reach for my glasses.

Since the cataract surgeries, I have to wear glasses for close up and I HATE this. I have prescribed glasses that do not work very well the way he did it. So I bought different reading glasses at the Dollar Store. I need one on my piano, one in the basement, one to write, one in my purse for "in case" I need to read something. What a pain it is.

It is a pain but having several in strategic places seems to be the answer.
