Some days having a big butt is a benefit!

Now I'm not saying mine is huge, but I'm no Twiggy so I have some extra padding! This morning my butt saved me - we were going shopping - leaving at 8:15. I always go out first and push the button for the garage door opener. As I stepped out I thought Ruby was behind me and I turned my upper torso to see and when I turned back to continue walking down the two steps my left foot hit nothing but air and down I went. It was in slow motion and with my butt on the steps and my back against the wall I fell the best way possible. I was just getting in the standing position when my husband appeared. I told him that its a good thing I have a big butt! My right arm was a little sore, but within a hour it was fine and I managed to walk the grocery store without incident! Photo is mine - bad steps, bad bad steps! Thanks to @LadyDuck you don't have to stand on your head to see the photo properly! I give up - not sure why after all this time the photo is not showing correctly and I deleted it from my computer - Use your imagination LOL!

There was a television sitcom called "Saved by the Bell" - well, you were saved by the butt.

@AbbyGreenhill No, don't put any more padding, just have to be careful not to fall.

@LadyDuck Thanks. Being older I try to watch where I walk, what's in my path, etc.

My hand is a little sore when I touch it, but otherwise so far so good. I did manage to get in the pool and that might have helped.

I'm glad your fall wasn't worse. If I take a photo portrait style I can never get it to post properly. @LadyDuck usually posts a 'proper' one for me which is very useful.

Well at least you landed on your rear end and didn't fall in a worse way where you could have really injured yourself.

I tell the little kids I work with: "Tushes were made for falling on!" Actually I say that to the bigger kids I work with as well when we're hiking downhill over slippery stuff. Landing on your butt doesn't count as a "fall."
